Circulation 6500

Welcome to the website of the GREAT Gisborne Gazette, a monthly community newspaper with a circulation of 6,500 in the South Ward of the Macedon Ranges Shire,  including the areas of Bullengarook, Gisborne, Macedon, Mount Macedon, New Gisborne and Gisborne South. The Macedon Ranges Shire is located 55 kms north-west of Melbourne in the state of Victoria in Australia.

The GREAT Gisborne Gazette was a 2006 initiative of the GREAT Association, Gisborne Region Events, Activities and Tourism. The paper commenced in September  as a small format, two-colour publication. It has now grown to a larger format, 24 page, full colour Community newspaper.

How do I obtain a paper copy of the Gisborne Gazette?

The Gazette is delivered by volunteers in the townships of Gisborne, Macedon, Mount Macedon and New Gisborne, usually in the last week of the month preceding the edition. (For example, the June edition will usually be delivered in the last week of May.)

In the outlying areas of the townships and in South Gisborne and Bullengarook the papers are delivered by  contractors.

The GREAT Gisborne Gazette is available at the following locations:

Mount Macedon: The Trading Post

Macedon: The Post Office, IGA store and the Service Station in Black Forest Drive

Gisborne: Foodworks, Gisborne Library, Priceline and the Gazette display baskets in the Village Shopping Centre.

New Gisborne: The Post Office/Store
